About Break Every Chain Restoration Home

A Place for Healing. A Foundation for Restoration. A Community of Hope.

As we move forward, Break Every Chain Restoration Home remains rooted in our core values — creating space for healing, restoration, and renewed hope. We believe recovery is more than sobriety. It is about dignity. It is about stability. It is about rebuilding a life with purpose.

Our home is built on compassion, accountability, and the unwavering belief that transformation is possible for every individual who walks through our doors.

Accountability

Accountability is a must; it includes accountability to growth.

Residents are expected to pursue employment, education, service work, Or other productive activities that move your lives forward. Recovery is not merely the absence of substances; it is the presence of purpose. Every resident must be accountable to becoming a productive, reliable, and responsible member of the community and society.

Structure

The home is guided by common sense rules and policies. If your behavior affects the recovery or safety of the community, you will be asked to address the behavior through verbal or written warnings. Or in severe cases, being asked to leave the house. The foundation of our community is mutual respect for others, and for ourselves, our focus on our personal recovery.

  • Strict Abstinence

  • Adhere to the Banned Substances

  • Violence (no threats, intimidation or bullying)

  • Criminal Activity (no new charges)

  • On time payments

  • House Policies may change

  • Relapse & Termination

  • Behaviors (relapse, possession of banned substances, acts of violence, criminal activity, missing payments, chronic problematic, state of harming self or others)

By choosing to live in our home, you’ve agreed to random supervised urine and breathalyzer screens. These may be administered any day, any time, including at night. Refusing a screen or tampering with a sample is ground for termination. There is a dispute process in place to confirm lab results. You are also subject to inspections of your personal property on a random basis by the house manager.

Meet The Founders

Break Every Chain Restoration Home was founded by Monica and Milton with one clear purpose: to create the kind of safe, faith-rooted environment they once needed themselves. Their story is not one of perfection, but of perseverance, redemption, and a lifelong commitment to breaking every chain that once held them bound.

Monica is a dedicated, heart-centered professional who finds deep purpose in uplifting individuals who have faced hardship, trauma, and systemic barriers. Her work is grounded in compassion and an unshakable belief that everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and capable of building a life they are proud of.

Throughout her career, Monica has served in roles that placed her alongside people during some of their most vulnerable moments. She brings patience, empathy, and a steady presence to every interaction, helping individuals rebuild confidence, restore stability, and move toward true self-sufficiency.

What drives Monica most is witnessing people rediscover their own resilience, and knowing she played even a small role in helping them move forward with hope.

Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Milton brings over 20 years of lived experience in recovery to his work. After relocating to Leominster, he pursued studies in Addiction Counseling at Fitchburg State College and went on to serve as a Case Manager at the North Central Alcoholism Commission detox center.

Milton leads with authenticity, compassion, and deep empathy, meeting people where they are and walking alongside them through the recovery journey. His personal experience fuels his unwavering commitment to second chances, community healing, and long-term stability. He advocates tirelessly for those seeking to rebuild their lives and maintain sobriety.

Our Shared Mission

Monica and Milton’s journey has been shaped by faith, perseverance, and firsthand experience with incarceration, addiction, and self-destruction. Through God’s grace, they learned how to step out on faith and truly live on the outside, restoring their dignity, self-worth, and sense of purpose along the way.

Break Every Chain Restoration Home was created as an extension of that transformation. It is more than a sober living environment. It is a village, a safe haven, and a place where healing happens through accountability, community, and faith.

We don’t take this assignment lightly. We understand the difficulty of freedom, the courage it takes to change, and the power of not having to do it alone. Our mission is simple but profound: to walk with others as they break every chain and reimagine the life they were always meant to live.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our Frequently Asked Questions section is designed to provide clear answers to common queries about our services, appointments, and policies.

How long is the program?

Length of stay depends on your progress and readiness for independence. Most residents stay between six months and two years. We work with you to build a timeline that supports real recovery, not just time served.

What's the difference from treatment?

Treatment addresses the roots of addiction. Sober living teaches you how to live sober in the real world. We bridge that gap with structure, community, and practical skills so you can stand on your own.

What are the house rules?

We maintain a drug- and alcohol-free environment with curfews, random testing, and expectations around employment or education. Rules exist to protect your recovery and create the structure that makes sobriety possible. Everyone follows the same standards.

What if I relapse?

Relapse is a setback, not failure. We address it directly, help you understand what happened, and adjust your plan. Our goal is to help you learn from it and move forward, not to shame you.

Do I have to work or study?

Yes. Employment or education is required because purpose and self-respect are built through meaningful activity. We provide support to help you find work or enroll in school. Idle time is dangerous in early recovery.

How much does it cost?

Costs vary based on length of stay and services. We work with residents on payment plans and can discuss financial options during the admissions process. Recovery shouldn't be out of reach.

How does accountability work here?

Accountability happens through peer relationships, weekly house meetings, and consistent check-ins with staff. It's not punishment—it's proof that people believe in you and won't let you slip back. You hold others accountable too.

What happens when I leave?

We prepare you for independence through life skills training, employment support, and ongoing connections. You'll have the tools and relationships to maintain your recovery on your own. Leaving is a graduation, not an abandonment.

Can my family stay involved?

Family involvement is encouraged and important. We support healthy family connections while maintaining boundaries that protect your recovery. Family members can participate in meetings and stay informed about your progress.

How do I apply?

Contact us to schedule an intake conversation. We'll discuss your recovery history, your goals, and whether Break Every Chain is the right fit. The process is straightforward and judgment-free.
